New equipment for Cricket Club

Sunday 29th January was a special day at the Bulleen Cricket Club. Life Members were invited to present the Most Valuable Player awards to current players and Surrey Hills Community Bank¬ģ branch Manager, Maggie Stamoulis presented President, Neil Henry with a sponsorship cheque for $4,000. The Community Bank¬ģ has a strong relationship with the club and its members. Sponsorship funds will be used to purchase new equipment and subsidise fees for junior players.

Surrey Hills Community Bank¬ģ¬†Branch team member Eve¬†Waterstone recently invited to¬†attend the Victorian Chamber of¬†Commerce 2016 AFL Lunch, held in¬†the Olympic Room at the MCG.¬†Eve was nominated by the Bendigo¬†Bank Regional Sales Lead Manager¬†to attend as a representative of the¬†bank, in recognition of her strong¬†work ethic & demonstration of the¬†bank values.¬†It was fantastic to have a member¬†of the CASH group attending this¬†great event. Cricket club supporting breast cancer awareness

Maggie Stamoulis, Manager of the Surrey Hills Community Bank¬ģ branch was a guest of Mont Albert Cricket Club at their recent Ladies Luncheon. Funds were raised for the McGrath Foundation for their important work in Breast Cancer awareness and research. The event was well attended and full of energy and support for a great cause. Maggie also presented a cheque to the Club President Peter Knox for $1,000 in recognition of a club member banking with the Surrey Hills Community Bank¬ģ.

Local banking supports Preschool

The Florence Road Preschool in Surrey Hills was recently presented with a $1,000 incentive payment in recognition of one of the Preschool families switching their banking to the local Community Bank. Surrey Hills Community Bank staff member, Eve Waterstone presented the cheque to President of the Florence Road Preschool Committee, Kirsten Reddoch. The Surrey Hills Community Bank branch has a strong relationship with the Preschool and looks forward to contributing more funds in the future.

Held in November, the main event day was blessed with glorious sunshine and a large crowd enjoyed a huge variety of music and great food offered by local Union Rd traders. Surrey Hills Community Bank Branch Manager Maggie Stamoulis, recently attended a committee meeting at the Riversdale Soccer Club. A cheque for $1,000 was presented to club President Rob Favata. Music Festival in the heart of our Community

Maggie Stamoulis, Manager Surrey Hills Community Bank¬ģ Branch recently presented John Fleming, Surrey Hills Music Festival Coordinator, with a $5,000 cheque for sponsorship of the Surrey Hills Music Festival. The Festival, which will be held in November, is the premier community music event in the area. Supporting local Families.

The Boroondara Family Network provides support to families with newborn babies and young children. The group is coordinated by experienced volunteers who make regular home visits to families who don’t have social or family networks to support them. Volunteers provide assistance with parenting, providing advice on everyday issues and support with problems which can arise when a new baby arrives in the family. ¬†The Community Bank¬ģ is very pleased to support this vital service. Our contribution will allow the network to increase the number of clients they can service.
