Supporting local Families.

The Boroondara Family Network provides support to families with newborn babies and young children. The group is coordinated by experienced volunteers who make regular home visits to families who don’t have social or family networks to support them. Volunteers provide assistance with parenting, providing advice on everyday issues and support with problems which can arise when a new baby arrives in the family.  The Community Bank® is very pleased to support this vital service. Our contribution will allow the network to increase the number of clients they can service.

All you need to know about buying a home

The CASH Group partnered with the Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV), to hold a free home buyer seminar at Richmond Town Hall for over 80 attendees. Surrey Park Lacrosse in the Victorian finals

Surrey Park Lacrosse hosted the Victorian lacrosse finals at Mont Albert Reserve in late August 2015.  The Surrey Park senior men’s team was in the Division 2 final against Williamstown. Unfortunately for Surrey Park, Williamstown was the better team on the day, winning 22-8.

Luckily, the rest of the day was a big success, with teams playing at Mont Albert Reserve from 9:00am until 5:00pm. And thanks to the weather, people ate plenty of hot food.

Our Surrey Hills Community Bank® Branch is proud to sponsor Surrey Park Lacrosse.

Building new partnerships

Our Surrey Hills Community Bank® Branch is working hard to build new partnerships with groups in our community. We’ve just started working with the navy cadets of TS Melbourne and their families. We recently helped the group with a fundraising sausage sizzle and raffle, providing the sausages and a $200 account as one of the raffle prizes.

John Bergin, one of our business development managers, was happy to turn some sausages.

The Chandler Room also got a facelift—there are new thermal windows (to keep it warm in winter and cool in summer), more storage and a new door.

The Surrey Hills Community Bank® Branch has been proudly supporting the centre for over 10 years.
